Singleplayer-only mods tend to be the least noticeable for anti-cheat systems, so be sure to only use these Dark Souls easy mode mods in offline and disable them when going online. When it comes to making the game easier to play, there are two types of mods: "mega mules" containing upgraded characters and straightforward game-altering addons.
An option for Dark Souls 2 players is the Dark Souls 2 Easy Mode mod by lordranhomeboy. This mod works differently than the Dark Souls 3 and Dark Souls Remastered equivalents, though, because it doesn't change enemy values. Instead, it buffs the player's spells, increases drop rates, increases souls across the board, and reduces the cost of leveling up.
Dark Souls 2 God Mode
Dark Souls 2 includes an extensive New Game+ mode. New Game+ content is so extensive that many features extend between generations, allowing players to discover new content in as many as four playthroughs.
Do you feel like your Chosen Undead is really a strong heroine in a man's body? Or do you feel like your epic quest would be all the more epic with a badass moustache? Go to the Things Betwixt, head to the second path on the left, right past the ladder leading up to the crow's nest. There's a small beach in the distance. Go all the way to the end of the second path on the left and drop down past the torch. Be wary that there are two cyclopses to dispatch. Once they're dead, they gone forever. The Coffin can swap the gender of any character model, however, it is not possible to perform any other alterations. This can be done an infinite amount of times.
When King Vendrick is defeated, he does not yield his particular soul, because it is found in a hidden room in the Shrine of Amana. Go to the second bonfire and move forward until a path to the left becomes visible. Go down this path and there is a door covered in branches. To open the doorall of the Milfanito must be saved, including the one in Drangleic Castle, using the Key to the Embedded, and your character must be human. Once the door is open, a soul can be found in a chair: this is the King's Soul. This soul can be traded in to Weaponsmith Ornifex to acquire either the Ruler's Sword or the Ruler's Ultra Greatsword, which are the most powerful melee weapons in the game as their damage scales with the amount of souls carried by the wielder. The King's Soul is only available once per playthrough. Also, there's a path to the left that leads to a chestwhich contains the King's Set of Armor.
Place 50 into Intelligence, and 45 into Faith. Dark Magic scales on Faith and Intelligence, but on the lower of the two stats. A dark-infused sunset staff is really all you need to make this build snowball, and it uses twinkling titanite to reinforce, so this can be maxed out fairly early.
Get your hands on the Sacred Chime Hammer, and the Affinity Hex. The Weapon Art of the hammer and the Hex have the same effect. They produce balls of homing dark energy around the player's head. Imbue the Sacred Chime Hammer with Dark to boost the power of its Weapon Art, and let your remnants of humanity pursue your foes until the end of time.
The addition of the DLCs added new Bosses, NPCs, Events, and Items to the game, including a new dark Ending to the original campaign. Minor modifications and changes to the text and descriptions of some items found in the game upon the release of the Scholar of the First Sin Patch.
The Souls games are most famous for their challenging combat encounters, forcing players to craft a strategy in the game that best suits them and the battle itself. The souls games are known for their many features to consider when creating a build to suit each combat encounter. Choosing appropriate gear, or applying the wrong strategy against certain Enemies and Bosses will have great consequences in Dark Souls 2, but like previous games, this title has a cooperative feature that allows aid from other players. Dark Souls 2 multiplayer modes allow players to be summoned to cooperate in boss battles and offers PvP invasions as well. Many of these features are returning features that are found in previous titles of the Dark Souls series and can still be found in From Software's recent releases.
In Dark Souls 2, there are no options to toggle different difficulty levels. There is only one Difficulty in Dark Souls 2. FromSoftware has considered all aspects of this game including new players of Souls games as well as veteran players. Being a vast world, all types of players and playstyles can be used to approach this game with one difficulty level. The developers created a world with multiple points of interest that were not always designed to be conquered when encountered. Progressing through some optional areas means that any area that has not been completed due to level or skill restraints at the time of the encounter can be returned to at a later time. Players can then decide to complete other areas, upgrade their build, gain better equipment and skills before returning to any uncomplete area, or find help through cooperative play from the community. Souls games are known for their challenging combat encounters, and they continue to hold their distinct challenging characteristics by removing the option of Easy mode. Players who seek greater difficulties always have the option to challenge themselves by imposing limitations on themselves when completing a playthrough such as limiting themselves to lower level equipment or refusing to spawn farm throughout a playthrough.
Light and darkness are, of course, a big part of Dark Souls II. This mechanic is so integral when it comes to setting a proper atmosphere, while also forcing players to make that hard decision between wielding a shield or being able to see where they're going. After all, one is born with only two hands. Sacrifices must be made.
Think you can get away with running around in the dark? Think again. Certain areas in the world are practically pitch black that you really can't see anything without some sort of illumination. That's where your trusty torch comes in handy.
As always, what weapons you choose to equip are an important part of any combat situation, though there are definitely those moments where you wonder if it might be better to just lay down and die. The final boss that awaited me at the end of this demo was, as we called him, a massive Mirror Knight. Why "Mirror"? Because he had a shield with souls trapped inside -- souls that would periodically escape to make your life further hell. And while you're trying not to get hit by the adds, the boss would fire out lightning across the area, and his attacks were so difficult to dodge that I shudder to think how many times I would have died here without God Mode enabled. 2ff7e9595c
